Capacity of a substance to dissolve in a solvent

Solubility is the capacity of a substance to dissolve in a solvent. The solubility of residues in cleaning agent and cleaning solvents are assessed during the design and development stage of cleaning validation. Product attributes should also be assessed including API solubility in water.
