Single use technology (SUT) allows for pre-packaged materials or equipment to be used in the manufacturing process then discarded of. Utilizing SUT can reduce the need for sterilization or cleaning steps for example, in biopharmacuetical manufacturing single use bags may be used to store solvents or media without the need to qualify a system to demonstrate that the bags will not contaminate the process.
