Step to remove residues or agents

Rinse phases utilize cleaning agents or water to removes process residues on equipment surfaces. Typically, a CIP process performs multiple rinse phases (e.g. pre-rinse with water, chemical agent 1, rinse with water, chemical agent 2, post-rinse withwater) and if the cleaning agent is changed, an intermediate rinse with water is performed prior to using the new cleaning agent.
