Range is defined in ICH Q2(R1) Validation of Analytical Procedures: Text and Methodology, "The range of an analytical procedure is the interval between the upper and lower concentration of analyte in the sample for which is has been demonstrated that the analytical procedure has suitable level of precision, accuracy and linearity."
