Measures for patient wellbeing

Cleaning is performed to ensure product quality and patient safety. Patient safety is used to refer to the wellbeing of would be patients and the term is widely used when discussing risks or controls to ensure patients will not be harmed by residues or toxins. For example, when determining the allowable level of carryover from one product into another, health-based limits are determined that utilize toxicologist data to create a limit based on patient safety instead of just product quality.
