Microbial Residue

Traces of microorganisms left post-process, affecting safety

Microbial residues are defined as non-living organic carbon of microbial origin found within a process' soil. When performing cleaning validation it is critical to assess and confirm that the cleaning agents used will remove microbial residues to fall within the acceptance criteria.
