Flow Paths

Fluid movement routes

Flow paths are the routes which liquid travels through a system. In cleaning, flow paths are unidrectional but achieve turbulent flow to induce scrubbing action due to the flow rate. CIP supply and return flow paths are physically seperated from eachother. During the design process, the flow path is designed to optimize flow rates, ensure process contact surfaces are included, and prevent dead legs.
