Cleaning Validation Glossary

Cleaning Validation Lifecycle

Phases of cleaning validation

Cleaning validation consists of several phases: Process design and development, cleaning process qualification, cleaning process validation, and ongoing monitoring. Overtime a validated cleaning process may begin to drift as trending results from monitoring demonstrate that the process is not as effective as it once was. This may trigger a revalidation or investigation into improving the cleaning process. This ebb and flow is continuous to ensure the cleaning process is not allowed to trend out of specifications .
