Current Good Manufacturing Practices
Current Good Manufacturing Practices are the cornerstone of preserving quality across manufacturers. In addition to each country being governed by their own agency (FDA in the United States, CDSCO in India, EMA in Europe, Health Canada), manufacturers exporting to other countries are expected to meet the standards set by that country's agency. The International Council for Harmonization of Technical Requirements of Pharmaceuticals for Human Use (ICH) provides a quality standard that meets the agency expectations of the participating countries, these standards can be found in ICH Q7 Good Manufacturing Practice Guidelines for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients.
